SUMMARY:Exceptional Tuesday Ride
DESCRIPTION:Dear Teammates\, \nas you might know\, the new SICC main sponsor is now Black & Bike\, which took over a few weeks ago from Espace Bike. The location of the store is the same in Rue du Grand Courant 17 – Mons. Its website is: https://blackandbike.com/ \nTo mark the start of this new sponsorship\, the Committee decided to organize an exceptional Tuesday ride on 31 May that will depart from the Black & Bike store\, as usual at 18:00. Two courses were designed: the first one is dedicated to a speed of 28 – 30 Km/h for 68Km and the second one is dedicated to a speed of 26 – 28 Km/h for 51 Km. I am recommending starting from the B&B store but I am offering also to lead a small group for whoever is willing to depart from the main gym at 17:30. \nThis is a crucial event for the life of the Club and I am stressing the importance for you to participate\, we are exploiting this opportunity to have a nice SICC group photo with the new jersey in front of the B&B store. If you are not able to ride\, please come along anyway with the new Club jersey\, for the group photo! \nPlease earmark this event on your calendar and provide an answer with your participation or absence not later than this Sunday 29 May\, in order to better outline the logistic of the event. SUMMARY:Wednesday Improvers Ride
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday ride for newcomers / improvers\, novices and potential members. The route is a shorter version of the SICC Tuesday route and is approx. 38Km. It is flat and the pace is dictated by the slowest rider but whoever is attending should be able to ride this route at an average speed of no less than 25KPH with the goal to upping the average as the season progresses. The aim of these rides is to allow newcomers\, novices or potential new members to build up confidence of riding in a group and to learn a regular route for future use. The Wed ride will also familiarize newcomers with SICC ride etiquette. These rides are led by a SICC member (Ride Captain) who is responsible for maintaining an acceptable speed for the group and to ensure no one is left behind. Newcomers will join these rides before deciding to join the club.

DESCRIPTION:Tuesday ride for SICC Members only. There are usually 3 groups available based on fitness and experience level. The first group will depart for a fast ride (above 30KPH); the second group will be a bit slower (28-30KPH) and the third a steadier paced at an average speed of no less than 26-27KPH. All rides are covering the same 60KM route each week. Each of the 3 groups tend to have their own characteristics based on the SICC riders attending. This may include sprints\, fast rotations and attacks can all be expected.
